How to use a Masterbuilt Electric Smoker

If you have gotten yourself a Masterbuilt Electric Smoker and you are ready to start making food in it, we will tell you how to do it. Masterbuilt Smokers are of a very high quality and probably the best smokers that will get the job done for an affordable price. To top it all off, they are pretty easy to use. Each Masterbuilt Smoker has removable racks, the number of the racks depends on the model but the average number is four racks. They are very easy to remove, just pull them out as they slide perfectly. You can then wash them in your dishwasher to keep your unit clean. Smokers tend to get messy and greasy so you might want to use gloves when dealing with them.

Put an aluminum pan on the bottom of your electric smoker to catch the oil and juices and make the clean up easier afterward. Put your wood chips in the rack on the bottom. When you have your meat ready, put it in the unit and close it but make sure you also close the latch on the side which will keep the unit from opening. The Masterbuilt Electronic Smoker does not need to be opened at all while in function. So keep the latch safely sealed and you are good to go. Once you have your food in, we move on to the control section of the unit. The control panel is on top and provides you with all the necessary functions.

On/ Off , temperature setting and a timer. The highest temperature also depends on the model but let’s say the one you have goes from 100 degrees to 275 degrees Fahrenheit. You can easily set up the temperature with +/- buttons as well as the timer. Plug the unit in and set up for how long you want your food to be smoking and at what temperature. Once you do that you can sit back and relax because the Masterbuilt Electric Smoker has the automatic shut off function. It will assure you that your food will never be overcooked so you don’t have to worry about the time every minute.

Another feature of the Masterbuilt Electric Smoker is the vent on top which allows you to control how much air you want floating through do unit while smoking. Depending on how you want the meat to be done, you can either close the went completely, leave it open or somewhere in between. At the bottom side of the unit you can find a handle which is actually a chip tray. It is used to add more chips during cooking so that you do not open the unit because that would not be good for the meat. Turn the handle and pull the tray out, add some chips in it and pull it back in. By turning the handle again it will drop the chips into the rack. Sit back and enjoy while the Masterbuilt Electric Smoker does the rest of the work. It will cook evenly and the results will be amazing. Last tip for now is to NEVER USE THE SMOKER INDOORS.
